Australia is one of the best places in the world to live while you learn. The standard of living is amongst the highest in the world, yet costs remain competitive. On your breaks from study, you will have a wide choice of activities to enrich your experience - from cultural festivals, concerts and museums, to major sporting events.

The Whitehouse Institute offers a three-year Bachelor of Design with specialisations in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Styling & Creative Direction. Graduates develop an individual design identity through an integration of theory and practice, preparing them for entry into the creative industries.

There are approximately 500 students enrolled, 30 of which from outside Australia. 50 teachers contribute to a student-faculty-ratio of 10:1, with average class sizes of 25. The school has a library, lockers, a cafeteria and design studios and offers internships, work experience and excursions to Museums and Art Galleries.

Accademia Italiana provides a number of competitive scholarships exclusively to the Whitehouse Institute for graduating applicants in Fashion Design and Textiles and Interior Design. An industry panel awards part and full scholarships for design excellence, to enable recipients to undertake postgraduate study in a prestigious one-year program in Italy.

The nearest international airports are Kingsford Smith in Sydney and Tullamarine in Melbourne.
